Governmental agencies turn to solution providers to solve mounting paper challenges, gain greater efficiencies and improve processes.
New Hampshire’s Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) worked with AMS Imaging, LLC, a company with experience helping government agencies improve processing efficiencies, to implement a statewide enterprise content management solution for scanning, indexing, retrieval, and workflow routing of state and federal child support paper documents and electronic forms. The system is utilized in 11 district offices across the state and the Child Support Legal unit.
Utilizing Hyland Software’s OnBase’s architecture, AMS Imaging designed and implemented a solution to scan and capture incoming mail as it is received by DCSS. AMS also scanned and indexed all existing documents for Child Support Cases. Employees can now access documents digitally, virtually eliminating the growing problem of locating, pulling, copying, and re-filing documents. Case workers now have more time to focus on their clients and to provide better, faster service.
Governmental agencies are attempting to alleviate the bottleneck of cumbersome, labor intensive processes through automation. Do you think more government sectors will willingly follow suit or wait for forced governmental regulations?
