Coupa Software, the leading provider of cloud-based spend optimization solutions, today announced that it has been named a silver winner in the category of “Fastest-Growing Company of the Year” by the 2012 Best in Biz Awards, the only independent business awards program judged by industry analysts and members of the press.
Coupa’s rapid growth has been attributed to more than a 1,000 percent increase in revenue growth over the past four years, which was driven by its ever-expanding customer base. In 2012 alone, Coupa added top-tier names to its list of customers, which included AAA Insurance, Amerinet, Cadence Design Systems, Coca Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, ITT Exelis, General Atlantic, Hanger, Inc. and Orbitz, among many others.
The company also grew internationally with a major expansion into the EMEA region. With more than a 50 percent increase in its employee base in the past year, Coupa also added new members to its executive team to be in the best possible position for continued growth.
More than 400 entries were received in this year’s awards program, from a wide array of public and private companies of all sizes and from a variety of industries and regions in the United States and Canada. The Best in Biz Awards 2012 honors were presented in more than 50 categories, including Company of the Year, Most Innovative Company of the Year, Executive of the Year and Best New Product of the Year.
